As 2017 came to an end Energize NY completed its first commercial PACE financing project in Albany County, at the active retirement community Shaker Pointe at Carondelet, in the city of Watervliet. The Shaker Pointe Community sits on 30 acres of land, much of what is environmentally protected. To further its commitment to environmental sustainability Shaker Pointe used 5-year PACE financing to fund the installation of over 3,000 high efficiency LED lighting fixtures. These improvements are expected to result in a 16% reduction in energy consumption, which will save Shaker Pointe $9,000 annually above the cost of Energize NY Pace financing.
