At Shaker Pointe at Carondelet, we're excited to celebrate the grand opening of our new community center, The Pointe. We invite you to join us May 5-7 for special programs and events, allowing you to experience the beautiful spaces, entertainment opportunities and activities enjoyed within our community center.

1:30 p.m. - Grand Opening Ceremony
Celebrate the opening of Shaker Pointe and our community center, The Pointe, with the Sisters of St. Joseph, newly appointed bishop Edward B. Scharenberger, and Bishop Howard J. Hubbard of the Albany Roman Catholic Diocese. Enjoy music by the CBA Marching Band under the direction of Sara Waite! Refreshments and guided tours will follow the ceremony.
2:00 p.m. & 7:00 p.m. - Dr Roger Landry
Join us as Dr. Roger Landry, MD, MPH presents: "The formula for aging happily in America," based on his book, Living Long, Die Short: A Guide to Authentic Health and Successful Aging.
10:00 a.m. - Coffee and Registration
Complimentary lunch will be served midday.
10:30 a.m. - Sr. Marion Honors, CSJ
Internationally known artist Sr. Marion Honors discusses her piece, TRIO, acrylic painting assemblage displayed in our meditation room.
10:45 a.m. - Cardui Aerobics
Take part in or observe a cardio aerobics class.
11:00 a.m. - Print Making
Take part in or observe a print making class.
11:30 a.m. - Len Tantillo
Fine artist L.F. Tantillo has spent the last 22 years creating numerous historical marine paintings. Tantillo's latest work is on exhibit at the Fenimore Art Museum in Cooperstown.
2:00 p.m. - Water Works
Take part in or observe a water works exercise class.
2:00 p.m. - Clay Building
Take part in or observe a clay building art class.
All Day - Ongoing Events
Take part in any of the various ongoing events including display cooking, chair massages, moving shows and more!
