Our Residents

Our residents are the Pointe

Our residents are the defining factor of the Shaker Pointe culture.
Each individual contributes to the vibrancy of our community.

A Community Devoted to the Belief an Active Lifestyle is a Healthier One

Our residents are actively involved in offered fitness classes and scheduled community programs. Discovering new ways to thrive and live a healthy lifestyle becomes a large part of first joining the community at Shaker Pointe. Classes and programs are offered at various fitness levels that encourage all to participate.

A Community Committed to Caring for Each Other

The atmosphere at Shaker Pointe is a warm and welcoming place as facilitated by the Sisters of St. Joseph’s mission of hospitality. New residents are enthusiastically welcomed into their new home. Interest groups exist on campus for neighbors to share their passions and learn from each other. Residents gather on a regular basis for scheduled educational programming, movies in the theater, a game of pool or cards or to just grab a bite to eat in the Bistro.

A Community for Growth, not Aging

Shaker Pointe views retirement as a time for growth, not aging. Residents are encouraged to initiate their own events and programs in addition to programming designed to enrich both the body and mind. Shaker Pointe provides common areas such as its aquatic center, fitness center, activities room, theater, great room, library and lounge where residents can socialize, be active and be creative.
